Everyone Can Use More Income

It has been a year now since I got sick and had to stop teaching. Things have been tough but there was no better feeling than waking up to sale I had made online. Here are 4 different methods you too can wake up to some extra cash.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a way of getting a commission for selling someone else's product. Although it is easier when you do, you don't have to have a website to get started in affiliate marketing and most of the marketing material is provided for you by company who's product you are selling.

One of the great things about affiliate marketing is that you don't have to create your own product. Another awesome thing is that you don't need to handle or ship any products or deal with customer service. All you do is find the prospects and you get paid.

Affiliate marketing lets you market the products that you know and like and you can easily change your technique or product to match the current trends such as Back to School and Christmas.

Two places to get started with affiliate marketing is commissionjunction.com and linkshare.com.

Ebay and Amazon

I listed tons of teacher books that I collected over the years on Amazon.com and I sold at least two every week. It was really exciting to wake up and find orders in my inbox. Other people like the auction style of Ebay.com. Amazon doesn't charge you to list things and when you type in an isbn number they will often have a stock photo already in the system. Ebay has noticed a loss of listings and is trying to be more competitive by offering 50 free auction style listings for free every month.

People have a lot of success selling overstock items and garage sale finds on both Ebay and Amazon. The key is patience.

Craigslist

Craigslit.org is a way to market you product or service nationwide and in many countries. Most of the business conducted on Craigslist is local but aside from getting rid of my old junk on this virtual garage sale, I have marketed my writing services to people as far away as Africa. Using Paypal as a payment system makes global commerce easy!

Ebooks

It is now very easy to publish and market your own books. You can market these in several places but many authors like Mashable.com. I'm working on my third ebook and I have a time management course launching soon. (If you'd like to be an affiliate for me let me know!) These products can be sold by affiliates, your own website or blog, or through larger markets like Amazon. Ebay is very expensive for marketing digital products.

These are 4 quick and painless ways to make money in your sleep. Have you tried any of them?
